The objective of meteorological service for international air navigation is to contribute towards safety, regularity and efficiency of international air navigation. This objective is met by supplying the following users within the aviation domain the meteorological information needed for the performance of their respective functions: operators, flight crew members, air traffic services units, search and rescue services units, airport managements and others concerned with the conduct or development of international air navigation. Use of SMHI IWXXM TAF/SIGMET Subscription and Request Service is limited to users within the aviation domain only.
The data provided by the service is free of use for, and limited to, users within the aviation domain only. Users within the aviation domain shall not pass data obtained from SMHI IWXXM TAF/SIGMET Subscription and Request to non-aviation users without prior authorisation from SMHI.
Users are responsible for ensuring that information retrieved from SMHI IWXXM TAF/SIGMET Subscription and Request Service is up to date and used as intended within the aviation domain. Users are responsible for keeping themselves regularly updated on published information.
Do not overload SMHI IWXXM TAF/SIGMET Subscription and Request Service as this may result in reduced availability for all users.
SMHI reserves the right to block individual IP addresses or completely block users in cases of obvious abuse to the terms of use.
SMHI reserves the right to have service windows for maintenance.
We strive to maintain maximum uptime for the service and actively monitor the service 24/7 to ensure reliability and availability. However, there may be instances where the service is unavailable due to scheduled maintenance, unexpected technical issues, or other unforeseen circumstances.
SMHI, as a certified MET service provider, has made every reasonable effort to ensure that the information and all data presented in the SMHI IWXXM TAF/SIGMET Subscription and Request Service, to the extent possible, is precise, complete, current, of adequate integrity and unambiguous in order to meet the needs of airspace users.
We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from: The use or inability to use the service. Service interruptions, delays, or errors. Any loss of data, revenue, or business resulting from your use of the service. We recommend that users design their applications to handle potential service interruptions gracefully.

SMHI is responsible for compiling METAR information from certified service providers in Sweden and to publish the METAR information in SMHI IWXXM METAR Subscription and Request Service. The certified service providers in Sweden for METAR information are responsible for ensuring that each individual METAR is, to the extent possible, precise, complete, current, of adequate integrity and unambiguous in order to meet the needs of airspace users. SMHI has made every reasonable effort to ensure that the SMHI IWXXM METAR Subscription and Request Service complies with relevant regulations.
